| The Five-Day Management Development Programme(MDP) commenced at Govt. MAM College, Jammu, the Nodal College for IIC Hub Cluster University of Jammu under the able guidance of Prof. Archana Kaul, Principal, Govt. MAM College, Jammu. The programme is being organized in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Jammu from 23 - 27 Feb 2026 and supported by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation council.
The event began with a formal welcome address by Prof. Archana Kaul, Principal, Govt. MAM College, Jammu. In her address, she highlighted the significance of management development and entrepreneurial capacity building in higher education institutions and stressed the importance of innovation-driven academic initiatives among the faculty and students.In the inaugural Ms. Ankur Mahajan, JKAS Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu was the Chief Guest. In her address, she underscored the pivotal role of universities in nurturing innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial competencies among students and faculty members.
The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), Indian Institute of Management Jammu. He deliberated on the importance of digital transformation, strategic leadership, and innovation in strengthening MSMEs and building a resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem. He encouraged participants to have a thorough knowledge about the idea generation, conceptualization and targeting the market. He also encouraged the students to embrace technology-driven approaches and adaptive management practices in today’s dynamic environment. The first two sessions were deliberated by Dr. Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), Indian Institute of Management Jammu. The last session was delivered by Mr. Divyanshu Sharma, Jivisha Healthcare who deliberated on the topic Innovation through IT.
The five-day programme aims to equip participants with contemporary management tools, entrepreneurial insights and practical strategies to enhance institutional effectiveness and innovation capacity. The IIC Coordinators from the constituent colleges of Cluster university of Jammu along with the students were present. Among the members of IIC , Govt MAM college , Dr. Monita Bhat, Dr. Anil Singh, Prof. Sonam Mehta, Prof. Deepchand, Prof Gagandeep, Prof Shaikh Shahbaz and Dr. Pallavi Bhagat were also present in the event. The whole event was coordinated by Dr Bharti Slathia.The inaugural session concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof Amit pal Kour , Coordinator Institution’s Innovation council. |
